Volunteers join staff and our community partner, Whispering Roots, to travel up to the Omaha Indian Reservation in Macy and Walthill, NE!
- Assist food pantry staff by boxing canned food, fresh produce, and other food items delivered.
- Assist and unload food truck deliveries from local partners, Whispering Roots.
- Assist and load certain amount of packaged boxes, produce, and dairy into the client's cars by household number size.
- Foster a positive work environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and effective communication.
- Assist pantry staff by going to individual cars to check on pantry applications and Nebraska Diaper Bank applications
We will meet at Juan Diego Center at 7:30am. Please park on the far side of the parking lot, facing Q St. For those carpooling, you will meet with us there at Juan Diego. For those who prefer to drive themselves to Macy, you are welcome to meet us there at 462 Elk St, Macy, NE 68039 (Our Lady of Fatima Church) by 9am. Once we complete Macy around 12:30pm, we will have lunch and then drive 12 minutes west to Walthill at their firehouse.
