Who We Are

Mission: To provide for the spiritual, emotional and physical recovery of disaster survivors.

Great Plains Disaster Response is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing immediate relief and long-term recovery assistance to communities affected by disasters in the Great Plains region. The organization partners with local governments, nonprofits, and community groups to coordinate disaster response efforts, ensuring that individuals and families receive the help they need in times of crisis. By focusing on preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience, Great Plains Disaster Response works to minimize the impact of disasters and support communities as they rebuild and recover.

What We Do

Services include:

  • Immediate disaster relief, including shelter, food, water, and essential supplies
  • Long-term recovery assistance, such as rebuilding homes and infrastructure
  • Coordination with local governments and agencies to provide support in times of crisis
  • Disaster preparedness training and resources for individuals and communities
  • Volunteer mobilization and management to assist with response and recovery efforts
