Who We Are
Team Rubicon is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that utilizes the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams. Founded in 2010, Team Rubicon has deployed across the United States and around the world to provide immediate relief to those impacted by disasters and humanitarian crises.
Through continued service, Team Rubicon seeks to provide our veterans with three things they lose after leaving the military: a purpose, gained through disaster relief; community, built by serving with others; and identity, from recognizing the impact one individual can make. Coupled with leadership development and other opportunities, Team Rubicon looks to help veterans transition from military to civilian life.
By focusing on underserved or economically-challenged communities, Team Rubicon seeks to makes the largest impact possible. Disasters represent a massive financial cost, and by providing immediate relief work, free of cost, TR aims to help communities begin recovery sooner.
What We Do
When disaster strikes, we work hard to help the most vulnerable in need. By working with or alongside local agencies and governments, Team Rubicon seeks to be of the utmost service to those in need.
No two disasters are alike. Each require a different approach and skillset. Team Rubicon offers a wide range of capabilities to best serve communities in need including: debris management, disaster mapping, damage assessments, home repair, primary care, etc.
Effective disaster response comes from effective training and preparedness. While many of the skills provided by the military – trauma medicine, leadership, logistics – translate well, Team Rubicon offers training to equip members with valuable skills.
