Who We Are
Mission: To provide a safe and nurturing environment with support services for families and individuals experiencing the crisis of homelessness.
MICAH House, founded in 1986, is an emergency family homeless shelter that provides shelter and support services to hundreds of children and adults annually. Volunteering at MICAH House is a great way to support our mission in an actionable way. Volunteers have the opportunity to work alongside MICAH House staff to provide normalcy, routine, and structure for our children, women, and parents. Get ready for a heartwarming and amazing human experience as you participate in making MICAH House, a home.
What We Do
MICAH House provides two shelter models to best fit the needs of those in our community. Through both our family and women’s shelters, individuals are provided with their basic needs, three meals per day, intensive case management, and access to community resources, including an on-site health clinic and child care center.
