Who We Are

Mission: VNA delivers expert, compassionate care to support community health and well-being.

Since 1896, VNA has delivered community-based care in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area that provides peace of mind, quality of life and independence through health, educational, and supportive services for individuals and families who are isolated, have limited support systems, and experience multiple stressors that make it difficult to meet their needs and those of their children. VNA’s community-based services address the interrelated issues of poverty, family economic instability, homelessness, poor health, low health literacy, and lack of access to healthcare resources. VNA’s approach is client-centered and strength-based, meeting immediate needs and educating participants to meet their needs through self-care and community supports.

What We Do

VNA offers a wide range of community-based services to individuals of all ages and stages of life who lack resources across the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro area. Our Community Care services include Parenting Support, Flu and Immunization, Shelter Nursing, and School Health. Our Home Health Aide services help individuals stay healthy and independent at home.
