Omaha Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Coalition

Mission: To make a positive impact in the community, one household at a time.

The Coalition was founded in 2006 to promote the VITA program. In 2007, we began to directly coordinate the program and recruit and train volunteers. We have grown to offer not only free quality tax preparation, but also additional financial services (bank accounts, credit reports, saving programs, financial education) to promote the financial stability of our customers. Each year, the Coalition prepares almost 7,000 returns, offers financial education seminars from a tax perspective, and has sites open year-round.

The Omaha EITC Coalition promotes the claiming of tax credits through quality volunteer tax return preparation with a goal of providing educational tools and community resources for family asset development.
