Nebraska Children's Home Society

Since 1893 the Nebraska Children’s Home Society (NCHS) has been unique as we are the ONLY agency in the United States that has not charged fees for adoption services. We do that because we consider the child our client. Our mission has always been founded in providing what is in the best interest of the child. Because the child is the client and cannot pay for their own adoption, there are no fees. We have been fortunate to continue this tradition because of generous donors.

The mission of the Nebraska Children’s Home Society is to provide safe and loving care to children of all ages. At Nebraska Children’s Home Society, we’re focused on educating children and families, facilitating adoption, supporting foster parents and children, and walking beside families through every need and stage. Since our earliest days, children have been our inspiration and our central priority.

Through 9 statewide offices, NCHS provides pregnancy, parenting, adoption and post-adoption services; foster care; and early childhood services.
