Who We Are
Mission:
At Ease USA (AEU) is committed to providing access to confidential trauma treatment for veterans, active military, and their loved ones suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), moral injury, and suicidal ideations.
What We Do
Since 2009, AEU’s dedicated team of former and active military personnel, military family members, and trained professionals has been assisting active military, veterans, and their loved ones struggling with PTS, moral injury, and suicidal ideations. Since then, AEU has expanded services to include family members such as spouses, caregivers, and children and to frontline healthcare workers struggling with mental health issues. AEU does not replace Veterans Administration services but provides community support for those ineligible or choosing not to seek help through traditional channels.
AEU developed the Preferred Provider Network (PPN), a curated group of 50 independently licensed providers who deliver priority, confidential, evidence-based trauma treatment to AEU clients on a sliding scale fee. Every PPN member has received training in PTS best-practice modalities such as Brainspotting, EMDR, CPT, ART, and RTM. The PPN expanded AEU’s services statewide, reaching heroes in underserved rural Nebraska and Iowa.
AEU launched the first US combat PTS clinical trials in collaboration with Creighton and Tel Aviv universities. This innovative technology, Attention Control Training for PTSD, is web-based computer software offered by PPN therapists as part of their treatment. Unlike traditional talk therapy, this technology doesn’t force individuals who have experienced severe trauma to relive their trauma. We are grateful for your support of this software, which not only provided another tool for AEU to assist PTS clients but also helped increase our capacity statewide and in western Iowa.
In 2023, AEU complemented existing PTS services by launching Vets4Vets, applying a peer support model to build social networks, increase outreach, and serve as another entry point connecting participants with therapy. AEU provides peer support and counseling services to incarcerated veterans in county jails or involved in Veterans’ Treatment Courts.
In 2024, AEU launched Together Resiliency Inspires Brave Evolution (TRIBE), a virtual program designed to address the unique challenges faced by military spouses and caregivers regardless of their location. TRIBE provides these caregivers a deeper understanding of stress/trauma, assists them in recognizing warning signs and triggers, and offers a safe environment where caregivers can connect share, and support each other.
