Canopy South

We follow the Purpose Built Communities Model which connects us with a growing network of members serving communities throughout the United States. Through this model, neighborhoods are transformed by bringing together the vital components necessary for holistic community revitalization: high-quality mixed-income housing, an effective cradle-to-career education pipeline, and community vibrancy.

Canopy South is a nonprofit organization invested in the people, places, and legacy of South Omaha. We honor the history and culture of its unique neighborhoods and value the diversity of experiences, which shape the vibrancy we see today. Canopy South’s goal is to generate holistic and effective revitalization in South Omaha neighborhoods through strategic partnerships and community-driven initiatives. We prioritize choice by dismantling systemic barriers to reinforce equitable access to opportunity for all.
