Why?
Recognizing the speed of change and importance of organizational evolution, United Way of the Midlands’ (UWM) Board of Directors requires the organization to refresh its strategic plan every three years. Led by UWM’s Executive Committee, the 2024-2027 plan reflects valuable input from the Board of Directors, 30 key stakeholders and learnings from Signals and Trends research conducted in the summer of 2023. This collaborative approach ensures alignment with community interests, needs and expectations for the future.
What?
Volunteers will assist with folding, stuffing, and sealing envelopes along with placing a return label.
This task will be completed in an assembly line format. Volunteers may sit or stand.
Where?
Upon arrival at the UWM office, please ring the doorbell for entry (to the right when exiting the elevator). The front desk security will call volunteer engagement staff to greet you.
Location: Ashton Building at Millwork Commons, 1229 Millwork Ave. Ste. 402 Our offices are located on the fourth floor.
- From the elevator doors, the main entrance is to the right.
Note:
- What to Wear: Whatever feels best! Volunteers can sit or stand to create the assembly lines.
- Beverages: We have a refillable water bottle station available and a kitchenette with glasses.
- If you cannot stay for the full three hours, that's okay! Please sign-up and add a comment to your registration with the times you are available.
Parking Info + Map:
Free lot parking is available. Due to the businesses on the main floor, availability is in constant rotation. Street parking is in the process of becoming metered, but we do not have a confirmed completion date.
