Here at Heartland Family Service, we have an exciting, upcoming volunteer opportunity that is the perfect match for any individual looking to give back to their community!
On Friday, August 26, 2022, the agency will be hosting its 29th Annual Safe Haven Golf Tournament at Eagle Hills Golf Course in Papillion, NE! All funds raised at the tournament benefit the agency's Safe Haven program. The Safe Haven program provides assistance and emergency shelter to individuals and families escaping domestic violence and sexual assault.
Volunteers will assist with a variety of tasks ranging from check in to assisting at specific game stations throughout the course. Volunteers are able to choose their specific volunteer opportunity.
There are three volunteer shifts to choose from:
Shift A: 6:30 AM – 8:30 AM (Volunteers assist with check in)
Shift B: 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Volunteers assist with games / serve as witnesses on various holes)
Shift C: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Volunteers assist with games / serve as witnesses on various holes)
- No prior golf experience is needed. Game / witness instructions will be provided upon arrival.
- Volunteers who volunteer the entire duration of the tournament will be served lunch upon conclusion of the tournament.
