The mission of the Omaha Parks and Recreation Department is to provide and maintain a comprehensive park system, manage public property and offer opportunities for the citizens and visitors of the Omaha community to encourage a healthy, positive lifestyle that is essential to the quality of life.
As a department, we strive to promote a positive, healthy, and active lifestyle for all! Discover the endless opportunities our department has to offer. Catch an event at one of our 13 Community Centers, swim at one of our 18 aquatic facilities, golf at one of our 8 city Golf Courses, enjoy biking on our 125+ miles of trail, or visit one of our 250+ parks! Each Community Center provides activities and programs for all ages at little to no cost.
