Who We Are

Evil isn’t confined to the pages of history

Sex trafficking isn’t a problem of the past – it’s an epidemic in the here and now, even in the Omaha Metro area. Today, more people live in slavery than at any other time is history. Join us in the local fight to bring freedom to those who are trapped, and serve justice on the perpetrators.

Our mission is to strive to eliminate human trafficking through awareness and education. With community-based collaboration, we provide information to mobilize people to realize, recognize, and respond to signs of human trafficking. Our vision is to create a culture of respect and dignity for each human person, free from exploitation.

What We Do

The Coalition on Human Trafficking exists to increase awareness and education about the issue of sexual exploitation. With community-based collaboration, we provide information to mobilize people to realize, recognize, and respond to signs of human trafficking. The work of the Coalitions four primary committees includes:

Legislation: strengthen legislation to increase penalties for pimps and buyers and provider funding for services for victims of sex trafficking.

Education: provide informational presentations about human trafficking to adult groups, students and educators, health care professionals and others.

Victim Services: create a program of support for victims that addresses their many needs for healing: physical, mental, emotional, psychological and spiritual.

Hotel-Motel: provide training for managers and employees of hotels and motels to recognize and respond to the signs of sex trafficking in their businesses.
