Who We Are

Together was founded in 1975 in response to a devastating tornado that hit the Metro area, leaving many families in dire straits. The leaders of various faith communities, which include Countryside Community Church, Dundee Presbyterian, Temple Israel, Kountze Memorial Lutheran, Trinity Cathedral, First United Methodist, and St. Cecilia’s Cathedral, joined forces to imagine a better future for the tornado victims. Together was born, and together, the community began to heal. Soon after, our founders realized that thousands of families in Omaha need relief every day. They opened the FREE services of Together to the community year-round. We continue to serve people from all walks of life with the help of our dedicated and generous community.
