Who We Are
Mission: To provide transitional living for young women and mothers who have aged out of foster care or are experiencing homelessness.
Together, Carole and David began the Non-Profit Corporation, Carole’s House of Hope in 2011, a transitional living program where women and their children could thrive. Their goal was to begin to meet the needs of homeless women and children, particularly the unique needs of young women who found themselves homeless after emancipating from foster care. In 2014, they opened the doors of CHH and began this new chapter of serving young adults and children. Our home-like environment, paired with innovative programs and services, encourages self-sufficiency and independence, promotes healing and ultimately restores hope.
What We Do
Our transitional living program is designed to motivate and support participants in developing self-confidence, life goals, healthy parenting skills, and the crucial life skills necessary to be successful and thrive independently. Carole’s House of Hope utilizes the Eight Dimensions of Wellness Model, that focusses on eight categories or dimensions; Social, Occupational, Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Intellectual, Environmental and Financial. By applying the model, each participant becomes more aware of the connection between each dimension and how they contribute to healthy living. This holistic model explains: How a person contributes to their environment and community, and how to build better living spaces and social networks.
