On Monday, January 19, volunteers will join fellow members of the Omaha-Council Bluffs community to commemorate and celebrate the work and life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Led by United Way of the Midlands staff, volunteers will assemble and pack up 2,000 kits for delivery to Heart Ministry Center. A program and luncheon catered by Big Mama's Kitchen will follow the volunteer opportunity. Tasks include: - Writing encouragement cards - Assembling Snack Pack kits - Assisting with boxing completed kits - Breaking down cardboard Reasonable accommodation will be made upon request.
