Volunteers will prepare Christmas shopping for families as Heartland Hope Mission prepares to serve over 8,000 children through their Hope Filled Christmas.  Every hour you give - whether helping behind the scenes now or serving during the event - brings us one step closer to making this Christmas unforgettable for families in our community.

This opportunity occurs at the South O Campus, 2021 U St, Omaha, NE 68107.

As part of our Adopt-A-Family Gift Distribution, volunteers play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, warm, and uplifting experience for families receiving their gifts. 

Assist families in collecting and carrying their holiday gifts. Provide friendly, respectful, and compassionate support to all participants.Help keep the distribution area organized and efficient. Contribute to a festive, welcoming atmosphere for families. 

This opportunity is best for volunteers ages 16+, youth volunteers ages 16-17 can volunteer independently with a guardian permission form on file. Volunteers should be comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 25lbs.

This holiday season, you can help bring joy and hope to families right here in our community. Our Hope-Filled Christmas event will serve over 8,000 kids, and we’d love for you to be part of it! As a volunteer, you’ll get to hand out gifts, help parents find the perfect presents, greet families etc, and share in the smiles and laughter that make this event so special.

Every volunteer plays an essential role, and each moment you give reminds families they’re not alone — that hope is alive this Christmas.

We’re looking for volunteers to join our annual Toyland Distribution. This event aims to bring joy to children and families in need by ensuring every child gets to celebrate the holiday season with Christmas gifts. Volunteers will assist with organization, guiding families through the toy shop, and more.

Help celebrate the holidays with Kids Can! Engage with students and families by playing games, serving cookies, and maybe even meeting Santa! 

Come help our guests celebrate the holiday season! Join us in spreading holiday cheer to individuals experiencing homelessness at our Emergency Shelter.

Volunteers will help guests choose a Christmas gift and serve holiday treats.

This holiday, 240 Boys Town youth are unable to return home for Christmas. Make the holiday a little brighter by serving dinner

Join us in spreading holiday cheer by volunteering at our Christmas Toy Shop!

We need dedicated volunteers to help sort and inventory Christmas gifts currently being purchased and donated to The Salvation Army's annual Toyland and Adopt-A-Family programs. Your support will ensure families can easily select toys for their children at a later distribution event.

Suncrest Hospice is looking for Holiday volunteers to join the Suncrest Team as we provide excellent care and support to our Hospice patients and their families in their home or facility.  The philosophy of hospice care is to provide comfort and the highest quality of life that one can achieve at the end of life. Through an interdisciplinary team: nurse, home health aide, social worker, Chaplin, music therapist, massage therapists and volunteers, we help the patient and family walk through their journey. Whether you are needing community service hours or wanting to gain some experience in the medical field or share your musical talent, we have an amazing Volunteer program to educate about Hospice volunteering. We need compassionate volunteers to assist us in our facilities while family members are out of town celebrating the holidays. No one wants to alone on the holidays and you can help with your time!
