Tree Planting along West Papio Trail in Barrington Park & Pacific Meadows Park II

Saturday, October 18th

Check-In 12:30pm - 1pm

Tree Planting 1pm - 4pm

Rain date: October 25th


**Please arrive by 12:30 pm if you are planting trees with us so we can check you in. A demonstration tree planting providing all the instructions on how to properly plant a tree will start at 1 pm.***


Further Details:

Volunteers will be grouped into teams of 4 to 6, and each team will be responsible for planting 3 to 5 trees. By signing up to volunteer, you are committing to attend, as we will depend on you to ensure we are able to plant all of the trees. All volunteers are welcome, but please take into consideration the physical demands of this event. Volunteers will be asked to lift, bend, walk, kneel, and use tools such as shovels and rakes. Volunteers under the age of 19 will need to be accompanied by an adult and can be registered along with the supervising adult. If you need accommodations, please reach out directly to KOB at emily.hergenrader@Keepomahabeautiful.org.

Help Keep Omaha Beautiful with data collection of present litter across Omaha! This data will be used to identify patterns, hotspots, and types of litter found in our community. We aim to analyze data and create educated recommendations based on this data collection study to implement litter solutions in Omaha in 2026. Learn more HERE.

This in-field survey is SELF-LED meaning you can go at the best time for you between October 17th and October 31st after attending a 30 minute required in person training for ONE member of a participating group on October 17th or 19thRegister for your training time HERESelf-led survey volunteering likely to take a total of 2 hoursVolunteers assist with data collection of litter (types, numbers, illegal dumping and more) found across the City of Omaha in 1 - 4 of 70 identified locations. Locations assigned will be based on volunteer(s) preferred zone of Omaha expressed when registering. This data will be used to identify patterns and litter hotspots. In 2026 KOB aims to use this dta to recommend and implement litter solutions for the types of litter found in these hotspots.
