Who We Are

The purpose of the GOALS Center is to improve student attendance and learning by offering assistance to students and families through early assessment and prompt delivery of voluntary wraparound interventions that promotes school attendance and eliminate at-risk behaviors. The primary outcomes include: 1) increase school attendance and 2) decrease involvement of the juvenile justice/child welfare system, for students who participate in the program.

What We Do

The mission of GOALS is to address absenteeism and at-risk behavior through encouragement of coordinated efforts to improve student attendance and learning. Simply put, it is to improve student attendance and learning by offering assistance to youth and families. We work by using a multi-disciplinary, multi-agency team approach.

GOALS Family Advocates work with students in Kindergarten through twelfth grades to address absenteeism in school.

GOALS utilizes a Tier 2 and Tier 3 approach based on the research by Attendance Works.

Chronic absenteeism is often a symptom of other concerns with students and their families, GOALS is a unique case-management and resource connection for families. GOALS works with students and families who are not involved in any formal systems, and work to prevent system involvement.
